Deutsche Bank will name Marcus Schenck, former finance chief at energy group E.ON and now investment banker at Goldman Sachs, as chief financial officer, replacing Stefan Krause, according to Manager Magazin online. Krause, who joined Deutsche Bank from luxury auto maker BMW in 2008, will take on a new role at Germany's flagship lender, leading a division called strategy and operational excellence, Manager Magazin said. Deutsche Bank declined to comment on the report. Krause ushered Deutsche Bank through two capital hikes and the depths of the global financial crisis, and most recently through the stress tests led by the European Central Bank, where Deutsche Bank passed the exams by a wide margin.
