Military personnel and sheriff's deputies are searching a remote area of North Carolina for a US Marine who is believed to have fallen from an aircraft. The Marine fell from an Osprey aircraft, which can take off like a helicopter and fly like an airplane, near White Lake, in the eastern part of the state on Monday. The aircraft was based Marine Corps Air Station New River, about 45 miles away from where the Marine went missing.
